Jerry brings 62 years of experience as a pension actuary and employee benefits consultant to the table. After 32 years with the Dallas Office of Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Jerry opted for "early retirement". He quickly returned to the actuarial field, operating his own consulting firm, Brockett Associates until 2001. He then joined Friberg Retirement Plan Consultants in October 2001.
Jerry has supervised consulting professionals as a team leader for both healthcare and pension practices. He has completed health care studies for employers having both insured and self‑insured programs. In the retirement plan arena he has participated in all phases of administration for defined benefit plans including new business proposals, plan installations, actuarial valuations, annual Form 5500 and Schedule SB preparation, special studies, and plan terminations.
He continues to maintain his actuarial credentials in an active status and remains as a valuable team member, drawing from his deep experience and long term perspective.
